Conceput ca o transpunere a limbajului digital intr-o materialitate consistenta, pavilionul este alcatuit din “pixeli” de lemn manipulabili prin contact direct.

Bazat pe principiul variabilitatii, pavilionul are potentialul unei transformari continue, neanticipabile, fiindca fiecare fatada poate fi personalizata de orice trecator/vizitator.

Amplasat intr-un loc cu o mare vizibilitate, pavilionul propune trei tipuri de relationari, in functie de viteza si modul in care este perceput:

– Distanta si/sau viteza: din masina, in trafic sau de pe trotuarele indepartate ale pietei: poate prezenta mereu o alta imagine, pixelata, trezind astfel curiozitatea.

– Apropiere, trecatori: perceperea sistemului casetelor si a posibilitatilor de interactiune cu acestea. Fiecare caseta poate fi impinsa, trasa sau rotita obtinandu-se astfel diferite imagini.

– Interior, vizitatori: pixelii pardoselii prind consistenta devin prisme ridicate la diverse inaltimi si oferta posibilitati variate (relaxare, lectura, discutii sau agrement).

Conceived as a translation of the digital language into a tangible materiality, the pavilion is made of wooden “pixels” which can be altered by direct contact.

Based on the variability principle the pavilion has the potential of a continuous and unpredictable transformation because every facade can be customized by any visitor.

Located in a highly visible site, the pavilion suggests three kinds of relations, depending on the way and the speed it is perceived.


– From the distance and/or in speed: from the car, in traffic or from the distant sidewalks of the square it can show a different, pixelated imaged, awaking curiosity.

– Vicinity, passers-by: it reveals its boxed system and their interaction possibilities. Each box can be pushed, pulled or rotated obtaining different images.

– Interior, visitors: the flooring pixels become solid prisms, elevated to different heights offering a variety of possibilities (relaxing, reading, discussions or play).
